Now this one was written during my 12th standard, for a pals birthday. It is bad, i know, but what the heck, freedom of expression and all that...


Psssst……it’s Sarang’s b’day
So went the call

From our sources-up-there,

Who knew it all.

And we prepared in earnest

With lotsa contributions

To give an unassuming friend

A birthday present.

But ,If u wanna try to satisfy

A friend like Sarangi",

U gotta have a pocket

That’s bottomless

And really really DEEP.

Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays

Are great on the receiving end;

But not when u’ve to think

Of ways to give a present.

A birthday card was fine,

A small memento too.

E’en tho’ it wasn’t

Too HEY-HO

To capture the heart of thine

So this ode we dedicate

That u may stop

Somewhere down the road (of life)

And remember the times we had, so great.

Besides, only two years to go

Before we part

So gear up an’ enjoy this day

To heart.
